January 13th, 2005 -- Today, we live in a very fast-paced age, where we want everything microwave style. This attitude/expectation seem to traverse every area of our lives. And sad to say, it has especially affected our relationship with others. No one wants to work hard at relationships. We want everything perfect or near perfect with the input of the least of efforts. If we are experiencing problems in our relationship – we want instant answers to our problems. We become frustrated if we are told that it took us seven years of neglect to put us where we are (relationally), and it would definitely take us some time to transform our relationship from where it is presently, to where we want it to be.

Friends, it takes an understanding and practice of ‘Mature Love’ to produce what we would term, ‘heaven on earth’ in our relationships. Not only with our spouses and loved ones, but also with every person we come in contact with. This is so necessary in a world of hate, abuse, guile, terrorism…. and a host of other negatives we encounter in life.
It is Roger’s desire that this book ("Understanding the Dynamics of Mature Love") would effect positive change in the lives of its readers. Contributing to better individuals, families, communities and even nations - Making this world a safer and more loving place to live in. Does this setting sound like ‘Utopia’? Maybe it does. But one thing Roger is certain of: If we implement the Principles, which manage relationships – We can experience a healthier marriage, home.society.
Here is just an example of how much we need to understand the ‘Dynamics of Mature Love’: Many women, because of the abusive environment in which they were raised (especially if the abuser was their father), find it particularly difficult to form a healthy relationship with a guy who may be treating them first-class. Unconsciously, they may try to find fault or create an argument with him for no valid reason, at all. Attempting to craft a familiar environment in which they were raised – an atmosphere, which they had to adapt to, for self-preservation.
Men, these young women need to first find ‘Emotional Wholeness’ in their spirit, mind, and emotions, before they could form a ‘Healthy Romantic Relationship’ with a partner.
It’s insane to think and believe that an emotionally broken person can form a ‘Whole Relationship’. Yet men, ignoring all the blatant negative behaviors, still rally on and forge relationships with emotionally broken women. Allowing their emotions and sexual desires to gain mastery over them, instead of taking heed to all those ‘Flashing’ warning signals. Isn’t it about time we wise-up and save ourselves from all the impending heartaches of a wrong relationship?
Folks, this article is not intended to lash out against women - simply to prevent good men/women from making common relationship blunders. In fact, it is encouraging individuals not only to find emotional health, but also to seek to understand, practice, and develop the characteristics of Mature Love. For without Mature Love, not only will life be miserable for an individual, but it will also make life distressful for an innocent partner , as well. One Need Not Allow What One Can Prevent.
