Money: Love It or Leave It

If I had a dollar for every business owner or professional I've worked with who had a love/hate relationship with money, I would be a very rich woman indeed. The fact is, if you are ambivalent in this area, you might as well close your doors today and save everyone the agony of watching you struggle to make ends meet.

Sound harsh? Well, it's the truth, and I'd rather dispel the illusion that you can make a go of your business without learning to love the financial side of it than support you in a dead end endeavor.

Fortunately, you have options. No matter how negative or confused your attitudes about money, you can shift to appreciation for a generous, purposeful, prosperity. The key is rooting out the weeds of your old beliefs and planting seeds that are in alignment with your values as well as your business and personal needs.

This is simple work, but it is not easy. Old beliefs die hard, and new attitudes must be reinforced regularly in order to take root and flower. In addition, it is essential that you sew the right seeds for your garden. This means actually learning about how money works, mastering the fundamentals of running the financial side of your business, and being clear about your financial condition, goals, and strategies.

There are hundreds of excellent books, audio tape programs, and seminars that can help you implement a plan for financial success. Only you can choose to use them, and only you can choose to create the interior climate in which these new ideas can flourish.
